• 600g (1.3 lbs) canned garbanzo beans, washed and dried
  • 2 tbsp. tahini (sesame paste)
  • 20ml (0.6 fl. oz) lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, cut in 4
  • 60ml (2 fl. oz.) water
  • 125ml (4.3 fl. oz.) olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. za'atar


  1. Mix the garbanzo beans with the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, water and olive oil until soft.
  2. Place the hummus on a plate and make a well in the center. Pour in olive oil and za'atar.
  3. Serve with carrot sticks.
