• 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 3 dashes bitters
  • Splash club soda
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • Orange peel, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish


  1. Pour sugar in an old fashioned glass. Drop in bitters, add splash of soda. Crush sugar mix with muddler. Add a large ice cube. Pour bourbon over. Stir with a bar spoon to desired dilution, about 30 seconds. Garnish with orange peel and cherry.
